Nathaniel Peat is a multi-award-winning social entrepreneur, international motivational speaker, and advocate for diversity and inclusion. He is the Founder and CEO of The Safety Box, an organisation dedicated to reducing youth violence and empowering young people through training and development programmes. Additionally, he co-founded GeNNex, a renewable energy company providing innovative solutions in developing countries. Nathaniel’s journey began with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University, where he later earned an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems. At the age of 25, he founded The Safety Box, aiming to tackle youth violence and promote personal development among young people. His early career saw him featured on the BBC Three reality TV show, The Last Millionaire in 2008, where he emerged as the winner of the third episode in Cairo. These experiences laid the foundation for his commitment to social entrepreneurship and advocacy.

Over the years, Nathaniel has received numerous accolades recognising his contributions. In 2019, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Brunel University for his outstanding support and achievements. He has been listed multiple times in the Financial Times’ EMpower 100 Ethnic Minority Executives and the UK Black Power List, highlighting his influence and leadership in promoting diversity. In 2023, Nathaniel won the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry Black Excellence Award, and in 2024, he was honoured by Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade for his service to international diaspora advocacy. Additionally, he serves on the Lloyds Banking Group Black Business Advisory Committee, contributing insights to support Black entrepreneurs and businesses.
