Kamran Khan is a highly respected transformation and change leader, widely recognised for his ability to deliver inclusive, people-centred organisational change across sectors such as charity, higher education, local government, healthcare, and regulation. With over 10 years of experience leading complex programmes, Kamran combines strategic vision with deep empathy, making him a sought-after diversity and inclusion speaker. His unique voice – shaped by his lived experience as a queer British man of Malaysian-Chinese and Pakistani heritage – resonates powerfully with a wide range of audiences, from executive boards to grassroots networks. Kamran is regularly invited to speak on issues of equity, identity, and organisational culture, making a lasting impact wherever he goes.
Kamran’s career began following his degree in Geography and French from Queen Mary University of London. He entered the workforce through roles in HR and project delivery, quickly moving into project management within regulatory bodies such as the General Dental Council and Ofsted. His early years in the NHS and local government, including his rise to Head of Organisational Transformation at Southwark Council, equipped him with a deep understanding of public service and systemic change. Each role he took on expanded his ability to manage ambiguity, build cross-sector collaboration, and implement data-led, user-focused improvements.
In recent years, Kamran has amplified his influence as both a consultant and advocate. He held senior roles at King’s College London and the Greater London Authority, while also volunteering as Director of Policy for the Pride in Education Conference – where he helped shape ethical governance and strategic planning. In 2023, he co-founded the Embassy Model Summit and was appointed a UN Women UK Delegate in both 2024 and 2025. Former Director of Operations at the LGBT Foundation, Kamran oversaw the UK’s largest LGBT+ service delivery charity, managing a team of over 90 and a multimillion-pound budget, driving both operational efficiency and inclusive transformation.
Kamran is hired as a speaker not only because of his technical expertise in managing organisational change, but also because of his ability to humanise it. Whether addressing intersectionality, queer and diasporic perspectives, or embedding inclusion in project delivery, he bridges strategy with storytelling. His sessions are impactful, grounded, and energising – leaving organisations with the tools and mindset to drive lasting, inclusive change.
