Lawyer and leading campaigner, Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu is fighting at the forefront of the social justice movement. Also, a highly sought-after media commentator, Shola eloquently speaks on women and human rights and political reform in her appearances and often voices her opinions on high-profile cases. In her speaking engagements, Shola articulately discusses several sensitive topics including discrimination, racism, diversity and inclusion, women’s rights, race relations, and British politics.

From an early age, driven by a strong sense of justice and curiosity, Shola decided to become a lawyer. She graduated from the University of Buckingham with a bachelor’s degree in Law, then went on to earn an LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a PhD in Law from Birkbeck College, University of London. In 2014, Shola earned an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge demonstrating her strong academic ability. Starting her career with Citibank, Shola spent close to a decade working for some of the leading financial institutions including Schroders, J.P.Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch among others.

Shola can be frequently seen on some of the leading media outlets as a commentator and has appeared on ITV, Sky News, CNN, Al Jazeera, BBC, and France 24. Furthermore, Shola has written on topics including women’s rights, Brexit, racism and diversity and inclusion to name a few for the Huffington Post. She is also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of  Women in Leadership, a publication that aims to positively empower and inspire women through its exclusive and tailored content. The publication frequently features prominent women in leadership and aims to inspire aspiring future leaders. Furthermore, Shola is the proud author of Why I Resist, a book which advocates for anti-racist action by different stakeholders.

A long-term member of the Women for Refugee Women charity, Shola volunteers her time to teach intersectional feminism to asylum seekers. She also played an instrumental role in organising the Women’s March London and is directly engaged in the scrutinising of government policies on gender and diversity and inclusion. An exceptional speaker, Shola dedicates much of her time to speaking at universities and colleges and was recently the Chair of the Institute of Directors Inclusive Business Roadshow events which took placr across the UK.
