Briony May Williams is a television presenter, disability advocate and baker, best known for reaching the semi-final of “The Great British Bake Off” in 2018. Her warmth and humour quickly won over audiences, but what makes her truly stand out is her ability to use her platform to champion diversity and inclusion. Since her breakthrough moment, she has built a career as a regular presenter on BBC One’s “Escape to the Country” and “Morning Live”, while also becoming a trusted voice for representation in the media.

Before her television career, Briony studied at Durham University, graduating with a degree in Spanish and French. She went on to travel the world before gaining her PGCE at the University of Bristol and working as a secondary school teacher. Alongside her teaching, she developed her passion for baking, which ultimately led to her time in the Bake Off tent. Her journey shows not only resilience and creativity but also the importance of embracing opportunities and redefining what success can look like.

Briony’s achievements extend far beyond the kitchen.
