Aisha Hanif is a motorsport engineer, founder of The Unconventional Group Ltd and one of only five engineers to have worked directly on ECU software used across every Formula One car globally. Having led end-to-end vehicle programmes at Ginetta Cars and Formula One projects with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, Aisha has built a career at the highest level of engineering while championing greater diversity and inclusion across STEM and motorsport. She is hired as a diversity and inclusion speaker for conferences, leadership events, universities, corporate programmes and STEM initiatives, where she combines technical expertise with practical insight into overcoming barriers, developing inclusive workplaces and inspiring the next generation of talent.

Aisha graduated with a First Class degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester before completing an Advanced Motorsport Engineering MSc at Cranfield University. She began her career as a Health and Technical Safety Co-ordinator at GKN Automotive before becoming a Race Team Volunteer and later joining McLaren Applied as a Graduate Embedded Software Engineer. These experiences provided first-hand insight into progressing through highly competitive engineering environments, allowing her to speak authentically about resilience, representation and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups.

Building on this foundation, Aisha became a Business Development Associate at SDO Associates before taking on senior project leadership roles as Interim Project Manager at Ginetta Cars and Project Planner for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. Alongside founding The Unconventional Group Ltd, she draws on experience delivering complex engineering programmes to discuss inclusive leadership, career development, female leadership and professional growth in demanding, high-performance industries.

Aisha has also contributed her engineering expertise to the production and filming of Channel 4’s ‘Pile Up: World’s Largest Crash Test’ and has delivered talks for organisations including the Motorsport Industry Association, Cranfield University, Oxford Brookes University, Motivez and Driven By Us. Her presentations combine real-world engineering achievements with actionable strategies for building more inclusive cultures, making her a compelling speaker for organisations seeking to inspire innovation, broaden participation and develop diverse talent pipelines.
