Toju Duke is an industry-leading artificial intelligence expert, best known as the proud Founder of Diverse AI. Determined to champion underrepresented groups in the technology industry, Toju has developed an illustrious career over recent years and is now working as a Project Manager for Responsible AI at Google. Leading diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the company, and industry as a whole, Toju is treasured for the positive changes she is implementing throughout society. Keen to share her vast industry knowledge, she has recently released her debut publication ‘Building Responsible AI Algorithms’. Highly educated, Toju has completed a BSc in Sociology at Bayero University, an MA in International Design, Marketing, and Communication from the University of Huddersfield, and most recently an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Bircham International University. Passionate about gaining a deep understanding of the technical mechanisms of AI, she secured the role of Business Development / Marketing Assistant at Kajang Women’s Enterprise in 2010 and has continued to work her way up through the industry ever since. In 2011, Toju decided to work as a Marketing Assistant at Bargainz Central before working as a Marketing Assistant at TechEnergy Corp and TBG Learning in 2012.

Recognised for her driven mindset and passion towards the industry, Toju was selected to become a Dynamic Ads Specialist at Google in 2013 and has continued to showcase her knowledge and experience throughout the world-renowned organisation ever since. Having secured profound roles such as becoming a Shopping Specialist, Hotel Ads Specialist, and Product Lead, she has now decided to fulfil the remarkable role of Programme Manager on Responsible AI at Google. Treasured for managing diversity and inclusion projects across the organisation, her work has transformed the technology industry into what we know today.

An inspiration to audiences globally, Toju has now become the proud Founder of Diverse AI, an organisation that aims to eliminate bias in data sets for more responsible AI technology in the future. Alongside this, she has also released her debut publication ‘Building Responsible AI Algorithms’. At the forefront of the advancing technology industry, Toju has gained the opportunity to speak at several prestigious conferences, including the Surrey Summit and The London AI Summit. Empowering women around the world to achieve success within the industry they are passionate about, Toju is now in high demand to inspire and educate audiences at events of all kinds.
