Kevin Lyons

Kevin Lyons is a seasoned human resources expert, offering astute commentary on HR trends. Senior HR Manager at Pearson since 2016, Kevin’s work is geared towards improving diversity & inclusion, learning & development, and wellbeing within the organisation. Enthusiastic about diversity and inclusion, he is the UK HR Lead for D&I and a Global D&I Advocate for Pearson.

Kevin possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Reading and soon pursued a career in human resources. Having worked at a myriad of organisations before this, in 2010 Kevin assumed responsibility as HR Director of Advanced Computer Software Group. In his role as HR Business Partner & Manager at Orion Health, he oversaw the talent acquisition, onboarding, induction, employee relations and learning and development functions of the organisation successfully.

Kevin is of the firm opinion that D&I, learning and development and wellbeing are the pillars upon which inclusive talent management stands. As technology’s impact on HR increases, Kevin’s affinity for evidence-based management increases. He is a fervent proponent of making tangible changes when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Kevin was also made a Finalist in the Trans Ally Award at Trans in the City Awards 2023.

As someone diagnosed with neurodivergence, Kevin is especially attuned to speaking about inclusion and neurodiversity. Recently Kevin was asked to speak at the Digital Change Conference where he spoke about digital transformation and technology as a force for good.  As a keynote speaker, Kevin touches upon topics such as the future of work, neurodiversity, data technology, and business strategy, amongst others.
