Corporate wellness expert, Gina Buckney is transforming businesses through employee wellbeing strategies. A professional speaker, business leader, and author, each of Gina’s ventures has been highly impactful thanks to her expert insights and driven mentality. On a mission to make life at work better, Gina’s positive practices and corporate background ensure she is well-versed in the needs of her clients and the potential they can reach, supported by Gina’s contributions.
At the heart of Gina’s work is her colleague wellbeing programmes which she delivers as the Managing Director of Your People Your Power. Having found that depression, anxiety, and stress are all factors in the millions of pounds of annual revenue lost by companies, due to low productivity, Gina developed a strategy that is cost-effective and guaranteed to reap rewards. Through speaking engagements and longer-term programmes, Gina is changing company culture from within, by arming business leaders with the ability to support their employees’ wellbeing and improve absenteeism, staff turnover and profits. Also a passionate advocate for gender equality and female empowerment, Gina has recently been appointed as a UK Delegate for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
With nearly two decades of corporate experience, Gina is ideally suited to transfer her first-hand knowledge into expert advice. Gina spent much of her career responsible for leading large-scale projects across financial services, IT Engineering, and Insurance. Holding such prominent positions as Head of Customer Services at BT and IT Programme Manager at Lloyds Banking Group, Gina has mastered the art of thriving under pressure, a skill she passes onto audiences of her talks. Aged only 27, Gina was the youngest person in the role of Contracts Director in which she was awarded the UK’s largest Financial Service contract with a value of £435 million, a testament to her business acumen.
Achieving positivity, peace, prosperity and productivity in her own life led Gina to author several books to support individuals mastering the 4 Ps themselves. In 2020, Gina created the Journals for Life, a series of books that guide the users to a more fulfilled purpose, through such titles as Head Space for Blank Space, and Daily Mindfulness. Engaging audiences in the themes of her books, Gina is a sought after speaker to share insights into how to succeed in establishing a wellbeing focused workplace and the benefits of doing so.
