Ayesha Ibrahim is a multi award-winning entrepreneur who has been making waves in the business world advocating for more diversity, often finding herself a woman in a man’s world. As the Founder and CEO of Honey Corn, a sustainable cosmetics company, Ayesha had to work hard to build her brand single-handedly as a working mother. Now, she is proving to women all over the world they can do both having been shortlisted for the 2023 Small Good Business Award. Ayesha is a passionate and confident speaker who has been presenting talks all over the world on the topics of business, equality, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and women in business.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hull in Human Resource Management, Ayesha has spent years gaining much experience in international trade and the development industry across various different companies and industries. When founding her company in 2017, Ayesha wanted to ensure sustainability was at the heart of the company’s ethos. The gender-neutral products Ayesha created using honey as their main ingredient, boast to be organic and cruelty-free, leading to Ayesha’s bestselling product being awarded bronze at the 2022 Free-From Skincare Awards. Ensuring the company lives up to its motto of ‘Cosmetics with Ethics’, it launched a ‘Bee-a-Keeper’ campaign to promote sustainability throughout the UK – encouraging residents to plant a seed that honeybees will love.
Even though Ayesha’s company has been going from strength-strength in recent years, during the pandemic Ayesha could not attend trade markets, which was her main source of income. Aesha then worked hard alongside freelancers to build up her website to maximise its visibility on the Internet so her business flourished throughout the pandemic. Honey Corn has since been featured in the likes of Tatler, Vogue, and GQ, proving quality products with sustainability at its heart are the future.
Having risen to prominence in the corporate world, winning the 2020 UK Leading Innovative Entrepreneur Award by European Business Magazine, Ayesha has become one of the most sought-after speakers of today. She has spoken at events all over the world, including to business and sales leaders in the likes of Europe, the Middle East, the USA and Asia. She has also presented for International Woman’s Day for the Portobello Business Centre and delivered tailored speeches to numerous C-suite and FTSE 100 companies.
