Outspoken disability and inclusion campaigner, Adam Pearson is an award-winning actor and presenter who has appeared in multiple TV programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. He is very involved in outreach programmes to help prevent bullying associated with deformities and represents several charities in speaking events and the media. After bumping his forehead, Adam was diagnosed with type one neurofibromatosis at five, after the bump continued to develop, resulting in a non-cancerous tumour growing on the nerve tissue of his face. Despite experiencing many adversities, Adams’s resilience, perseverance, and motivation to succeed are truly inspirational, in addition to his great sense of humour which he brings to his speaking engagements.

After graduating from the University of Brighton with a degree in Business Administration and Management, Adam began his journey in the entertainment industry as a researcher for the BBC and Channel 4. He then became a presenter on the highly provocative show Beauty And The Beast: The Ugly Face of Prejudice on Channel 4. After doing an excellent job, Adam was asked to be a consultant on the Dutch version of the series, he also began to receive multiple offers for other TV shows. In addition to appearing in several critically acclaimed documentaries such as The Ugly Face of Disability Hate Crime, My Amazing Twin and Adam Pearson: Freak Show, Adam is also recognised for The Undatebles and Tricks of the Restaurant Trade.

Most recently, Adam was a contestant on the 2022 series of MasterChef, he is also known to appear as a guest on shows including the One Show. Moreover, Adam has enjoyed a very successful film career, he debuted alongside Scarlett Johansson in the BAFTA nominated film Under the Skin and recently appeared in Chained for Life as a co-star.

Adam was awarded the RADAR and Diana Awards for his exceptional contributions to charity. Furthermore, he is an ambassador for the Childhood Tumour Trust and Jean for Genes and is greatly involved in those charities, representing them in the media and in speaking at various events. Adam is an excellent speaker and has made speeches at prestigious events such as TEDx Kalamata and many others. He brings a light-hearted touch whilst discussing highly provocative issues and provides informative sessions for the audience, with many valuable takeaways.
