Alex Manners is an autism and neurodiversity keynote speaker, Asperger’s Champion, presenter, author and accessibility advocate who helps organisations develop a stronger understanding of neurodivergent experiences. Diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of 10, Alex experienced bullying, sensory challenges and a lack of suitable support throughout his education. He now uses those experiences to improve awareness of autism, hidden disabilities and inclusion, encouraging employers and educators to recognise the strengths neurodivergent people can bring. Through honest storytelling and practical advice, Alex challenges misconceptions and helps audiences understand how relatively small adjustments can create more accessible environments.

Alex has built a successful speaking career delivering educational and motivational presentations to businesses, law firms, banks, NHS Trusts, police forces, local authorities, charities, schools, colleges and universities across the UK and internationally. As the Founder of his own autism awareness speaking and consultancy company, he provides talks on autism in the workplace, accessible recruitment, inclusive interviews, sensory differences, communication, stress and reasonable adjustments. Alex also delivers neurodiversity interview training to police forces across the UK, helping recruitment teams understand the barriers autistic candidates may face. His sessions combine lived experience with clear guidance that employers can apply to job advertisements, interviews, onboarding processes and everyday workplace practices.

Alongside his corporate work, Alex serves on two railway accessibility panels, contributing ideas to improve journeys and services for disabled and neurodivergent passengers. He is also the Founder of the Autism & Football campaign, an initiative created to make stadiums and matchdays more accessible for autistic supporters. Through the campaign, Alex has worked with clubs including Arsenal, Aston Villa and Swansea City, and he has developed a Neurodiversity & Mental Health in Football online course for supporters, players, coaches and employees. A lifelong football fan, he completed his goal of visiting all 92 English Football League stadiums, an experience that inspired his second book, ‘The Autistic 92’.

Alex is also the author of ‘That’s Not Right! My Life Living with Asperger’s’ and ‘’The Autistic 92’, using both books to share his experiences and promote a more positive understanding of autism. His media career includes appearing on Channel 4’s ‘The Undateables’, presenting a children’s programme on Solihull Radio and filming football matches for BT Sport. As a keynote speaker, Alex is valued for his warmth, humour and ability to make complex topics relatable. He encourages audiences to move beyond labels, embrace different ways of thinking and create cultures where neurodivergent people feel understood, respected and able to succeed.

Official Testimonials

Alex Manners is regularly booked to engage audiences at events, read their latest feedback below:

“Alex delivered a training session to our law firm via webinar due to Covid-19 restrictions. The intention was to improve our awareness of neurodiversity, and Asperger’s in particular. Alex was an excellent presenter, his session a mixture of sharing his personal experiences and providing tailored advice, which was just what we needed. He was authentic, considered and gracious in his prepared presentation. He was equally strong dealing with the many questions our colleagues raised with him during the Q&A session, responding to questions live and without advanced warning or preparation time. I was also impressed with how calm he was in the face of interruptions due to the imperfections of video conferencing. A true pro! I would heartily recommend Alex as a presenter and trainer to help you and your business better understand neurodiversity.”
