Preet Chandi MBE is a record-breaking polar explorer, former British Army physiotherapist and one of the most compelling diversity and inclusion speakers working today. A four-time Guinness World Record holder, she is widely recognised for redefining what representation looks like in extreme environments. Known as “Polar Preet”, she has completed historic solo expeditions to the South Pole, breaking barriers in both exploration and visibility for underrepresented communities. Her work is rooted in a clear mission – to inspire people from all backgrounds to believe that extraordinary achievements are within their reach.

Preet began her career as a Physiotherapist in the British Army, where she developed a deep understanding of both physical and mental resilience. Working in high-pressure environments, she supported the recovery and performance of military personnel, gaining first-hand insight into discipline, endurance and teamwork. Alongside her clinical career, she nurtured a passion for adventure and challenge, gradually building the mindset and capability required for extreme endurance pursuits. This foundation became the launchpad for her transition into polar exploration, where she would go on to push human limits in some of the harshest conditions on Earth.

Her achievements have since placed her firmly on the global stage. Preet holds multiple Guinness World Records, including the longest solo unsupported one-way polar ski journey and becoming the first Asian woman to complete a solo ski expedition to the South Pole. She was appointed an MBE in recognition of her contributions and impact, and has received numerous honours including Explorer of the Year from the Scientific Exploration Society, Woman of the Year and the Inspirational Award at the Women in Defence Awards, and the DARPAN International Sensation Award. More recently, she was awarded the Royal Geographical Society’s Geographical Award and named a Guinness World Records ICON, further cementing her influence across both exploration and public life.

What sets Preet apart as a diversity and inclusion speaker is the purpose behind her achievements. Her expeditions are not solely about records, but about representation, visibility and breaking down perceived limitations. She speaks with authenticity about identity, resilience and overcoming systemic and personal barriers, translating extreme experiences into practical lessons for organisations. For businesses and teams, her insights drive conversations around inclusion, mindset and performance, showing how diverse perspectives strengthen outcomes. Preet’s story resonates because it is both extraordinary and relatable, making her a powerful voice for organisations seeking to build more inclusive, ambitious and resilient cultures.
