Bukky Gray is a highly respected diversity and inclusion speaker, recognised for her evidence-based approach to building inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures. As Director of Talent Management at the University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations, Bukky operates at the intersection of organisational strategy, people development and culture transformation. She is known for translating complex behavioural science into practical, actionable frameworks that enable organisations to embed inclusion into everyday working practices, making her a sought-after voice for business leaders and HR professionals.
Bukky began her professional journey in Nigeria, qualifying and working as a lawyer after completing her law degree. This early grounding in legal frameworks and governance provided her with a strong understanding of structure, accountability and fairness within organisations. She later transitioned into human resources and organisational development, driven by a passion for improving workplace experiences and outcomes. To deepen her expertise, Bukky pursued a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at Harvard University, equipping her with the scientific and analytical tools to address complex people challenges. She is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, reinforcing her credibility as a people and culture expert.
Alongside her corporate leadership role, Bukky is the Co-Founder of Cognitive Humanity, where she is developing innovative tools and frameworks that go beyond traditional engagement metrics. Her work focuses on measuring and cultivating human capabilities such as empathy, using established psychological models like the Interpersonal Reactivity Index combined with behavioural insights. She is an active contributor to the HR community, writing thought leadership content, founding and organising the Cambridge Human Resource Meet-up group, and volunteering as an Enterprise Advisor with The Careers and Enterprise Company. Bukky is also a member of Advancement Talent Co., further demonstrating her influence within the talent and development space.
