Lorraine Wright MBE is a dynamic and impactful Diversity and Inclusion speaker whose breadth of experience spans corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. With over 15 years navigating high-level roles in global financial services, tech, and community development, she brings a uniquely intersectional perspective to the table. Her career reflects a commitment to empowering underrepresented voices and driving inclusive innovation, making her an ideal choice for organisations seeking to foster equity and engagement. Lorraine is often called upon as a speaker due to her ability to bridge the gap between corporate systems and grassroots community work, translating complex ideas into actionable strategies for change.
Lorraine’s professional journey began after completing a BSc in Information Systems at Brunel University, followed by early roles at Volkswagen, Accenture, and Smart Technology Solutions. Her skill in managing complex IT projects led to increasingly senior roles, including a position at UBS where she spent over a decade as a Director, leading multi-million CHF digital initiatives and working extensively in Zurich. Alongside this, she pursued an Executive MBA at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, further sharpening her strategic insight and leadership capabilities. Lorraine’s entrepreneurial drive emerged early with the founding of University Gospel Choir of the Year in 2009, a platform that combined her love of music with her commitment to youth empowerment.
More recently, Lorraine has continued to expand her influence. She served as the UK Regional Lead for Meta’s Facebook Community Accelerator Programme, where she supported diverse community leaders and helped scale their impact. She was also Head of Sales and later Advisor at Grow For Me, a Ghanaian agritech start-up. As founder of Diaspora to Home, she supports African diaspora communities investing in Ghana’s real estate market. Her efforts have earned her widespread recognition, including an MBE for services to young people through music, HSBC’s Top 25 Black Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2023, and features in both the Powerlist and Future of Ghana’s 30 under 30.
Organisations hire Lorraine because of her rare blend of lived experience, business acumen, and community insight. She communicates the challenges and opportunities of inclusion with authenticity, backed by a track record of delivering tangible impact. Whether speaking to executives or emerging leaders, Lorraine inspires audiences to embrace diversity as a catalyst for innovation and societal progress.
