Former TV presenter and BBC radio presenter Hester Grainger is a leading keynote speaker and advocate for ADHD. Diagnosed with ADHD in her forties, Hester is familiar with the challenges experienced by those unaware of their ADHD condition and the consequences this has on their life. Some of the key topics Hester discusses include neurodiversity and mental health, being a parent with neurodivergent children and a woman with ADHD. Hester started her career presenting daily on Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff and then working at ITV, before moving into a successful career in PR. More recently Hester has presented her own show on BBC radio.
Hester and her husband Kelly co-founded Perfectly Autistic, a neurodiversity consultancy after Kelly was diagnosed as autistic and with ADHD in his forties. They support companies through training, talks, webinars and coaching, to be neuro-inclusive, making a positive difference within the workplace and have worked with organisations including TUI, Marks and Spencer, NHS, Sony Music and more.
Being a freelance writer Hester has also written for publications including Huffington Post, Evening Standard, Arabian Business and Reader’s Digest, she is a regular guest on BBC radio and podcasts including ADHD Chatter and The Hidden 20%.
Being a member of a neurodivergent family, Hester’s husband and two children all have been diagnosed with ADHD and autism. This drives her passion for raising acceptance and awareness of ADHD, autism, and neurodiversity. Her enthusiasm and high energy comes across in her speaking engagements which she delivers in a very articulate, informative and refreshing manner.
