Rebecca Adams is an Australian radio and television presenter who is one of the best up-and-coming speakers and presenters of today. She is currently the presenter of Gaydio – a radio station specifically for the LGBTQ+ community. Since moving to the UK in 2018 Rebecca has been pursuing her dreams of working in the entertainment industry and is an Assistant Producer for the BBC. Now, when hired as a speaker, Rebecca is able to talk on diversity in the workplace and following one’s dreams. After the heart-breaking loss of her mother when she was only young, Rebecca had to learn to deal with her grief from a very young age and can educate others on how they too can overcome a tragedy.

Whilst still living in Australia, Rebecca quit her job as a bartender to begin her career in the entertainment industry. She gained knowledge of the industry from a number of Internships with Ralph Carr Management, Collarts and Vicious Recordings. She spent a period of time as a TV Presenter and crew member for Channel 31 where she co-hosted a 30-minute programme and ensured the smooth running of operations when live on air. Rebecca’s first taste of presenting on the radio came with SYN FM where she co-hosted the breakfast programmeGet Cereal’, along with ‘The Hoist’ and ‘The Naughty Rude Show’. A talented writer, Rebecca has also been a Creative Writer for Canberra FM Radio where she was responsible for creating content, putting into practice the expertise she gained from her previous roles in entertainment, and was a Music Editor for Australian Times Magazine. Her last role in Australia was as an Assistant Television Producer for Southern Cross Austereo.

Since following her dreams of a career within the entertainment industry in the UK Rebecca has held numerous positions in some of the biggest entertainment companies including ITV and is currently working for the BBC. Some of Rebecca’s other notable roles include Assistant Producer for Fubar Radio Limited, a Publicity Coordinator for Charnley Communications and Assistant Producer for talkRADIO. As a big mental health advocate and LGBTQ+ ally, Rebecca presents her own programme on Gaydio, a UK radio show where her humorous personality shines through, and acts as a safe space for all. At home in front of an audience, Rebecca also hosts grief events with Mental Health Matters and her candid opinion can be viewed in the likes of the Daily Mail, OK Magazine!, Tyler, Hello! and more. Rebecca is also the presenter and producer of her own podcast, ‘So This Is Adulting’.

Rebecca, after losing her mother from cancer at a young age, has been on a mission to help others also cope with their grief. She does so in an honest fashion as sometimes ‘everything will be ok’ is simply not true. Rebecca shares her experiences on how she coped with her trauma, and reassures her audience they are not alone. If you want an expert speaker who is able to educate her audience on how to cope with grief, or on how to deal with being a female boss in your workplace, look no further than Rebecca Adams to hire at your next event today.
