Piers Linney is a highly successful entrepreneur, famed for his appearance on the hit television show Dragons’ Den. Appearing alongside the likes of Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden, Piers has experience in several senior business roles and has invested in many successful businesses. After studying at the University of Manchester in Accounting and Law, Piers initially began his career as a Solicitor for SJ Berwin. Then working in investment banking, it wasn’t long before Piers was given the opportunity to man senior positions. He has since worked as the Non-Executive Director of the British Business Bank, the Co-CEO and owner of Genesis Communications and the Co-CEO of Outsourcery. Learning invaluable expertise of business practises and standards, Piers later went on to join Dragons’ Den in 2013.
Piers has forged a reputation as a powerful investor on Dragons’ Den, offering contestants his avid knowledge of what it takes to run a successful business. Before he appeared on Dragons’ Den, Piers was also fortunate to play a part on Secret Millionaire. Having forged a reputable name as a businessman, Piers has been recognised on the Power List in 2013 and as Entrepreneur Leader of the Year at the Black British Business Awards.
Also the creator of the #StartUp and #ScaleUp initiatives, Piers is now a popular choice as a diversity and inclusion speaker for events. Having previously been named as one of the Top Minority Ethnic Leaders in Technology and one of the Top 100 BAME Leaders in Business, Piers is respected as a diverse leader and encourages businesses to increase their talent pools in order to become more diverse and inclusive employers.
