Kishan Devani

Kishan Devani is a politician, businessman and renowned diversity and inclusion speaker. Over the years Kishan has provided his expert insight to a wide range of businesses including working as the Global Ambassador for ABJ Group and Chief Advisor of the World Youth Organisation. During his fascinating keynote speaking events, he regularly discusses his experiences with race and how he’s managed to fight back against prejudices to achieve success.

In 2016 he joined the Liberal Democrats political party, departing the Conservatives, for whom he had previously worked as Deputy Chairman. Disagreeing with the party’s handling of Brexit he defected to the Lib Dems where he has quickly risen through the party and is now regarded as one of the most influential and well-respected members in the organisation. Kishan currently holds a number of senior roles within the party including working as a Treasurer Envoy and having a prominent position on the Racial Equality Working Group of the Party. In this role, he helps to bridge the gaps between different cultures within the party championing diversity and inclusivity. Topics he regularly discusses during his speaking events.

Having been born in Uganda Kishan has an invested interest in helping minorities in the UK and he’s worked in India as well as at home with children at risk of being radicalised and is closely associated with the Unity of Faiths Foundation.

Over the years Kishan has received a number of accolades. This includes being named one of the youngest ever BAME Freemans of London, a recipient of the 2014 National Diversity Award and also a winner of the 2012 Asian Achievers Gold Award. He’s also been nominated for the Asian Political and Public Life Awards, the Asian Professional Award and the Inspiration of the Year BEAM Award.
